Together with a colleague, I set up weekly student-run drawing class at my department.
Every week a different student, alumni or faculty was invited to lead a session. We built our own easels, and over the course of the year help sessions on live model sketching, outdoors skeching, drawing as therapy, drawing in digital environments, and many more.
Starting out, the idea was to create a welcoming space where anyone in the department could come to improve their drawing skills. Happily, it turned out to be also be useful for students who sought to practive and experiment with teaching.
